On Thursday 30th December, the Chinese National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for regulating drugs and medical devices gave conditional approval for rolling out the vaccine in China. The condition is that side effects and other issues, if any, that develop during the roll out, need to continue to be reported to that authority before final approval is given.
“Once we start rolling it out, we would like to see the maximum number of people possible take it up,” declared a senior health official.
